Last week I took a day off and I went to Den Bosch with my mom.
I like to spend some time with her alone when she visits me, it always happened in the past, but now that we live apart is more difficult. Den Bosch is a lovely city, it's only 30 minutes drive from Eindhoven and I love the shops and the atmosphere.
After a lovely lunch we visited Søstrene Grenes, a beautiful shop that my friend Lonneke showed me few months ago in Amsterdam. Founded in the '70s in Denmark by two sisters, offers a great selections of design products for a very affordable prices. This time I didn't bought so much, just a couple of notebooks for Alberto, a set of cutting boards and plastic baskets.
And the next day we went to another danish shop, Flying Tiger {this time in Eindhoven} just because is too fun and we couldn't resist! Here I bought lots of new notebooks for me, funny socks and a new phone case. This store is now open in Eindhoven for a couple of years I think and everytime I go to the city center I check the new products.
I love the concept behind these two stores, the range of products and the quality.
Surely, these danish people knows very well how to make me happy!
La settimana scorsa mi sono presa un giorno di pausa e sono andata a Den Bosch con mia mamma.
Mi piace trascorrere del tempo con lei da sola quando mi visita, è sempre accaduto in passato, ma ora che viviamo lontane è più difficile. Den Bosch è una città molto bella, è a soli 30 minuti di auto da Eindhoven e adoro i negozi e l'atmosfera.
Dopo un bel pranzo abbiamo visitato Søstrene Grenes, un bellissimo negozio che mi ha fatto scoprire qualche mese fa la mia amica Lonneke un giorno mentre eravamo ad Amsterdam. La compagnia, fondata negli anni '70 in Danimarca da due sorelle, offre una grande selezione di prodotti di design a prezzi davvero molto convenienti. Questa volta mi sono trattenuta parecchio, solo un paio di quaderni per Alberto, una paio di taglieri e cestini di plastica.
E il giorno abbiamo visitato un altro negozio danese, Flying Tiger {questa volta a Eindhoven} solo perché è troppo divertente ed è impossibile resistere! Qui ho comprato un sacco di nuovi quaderni per me, calzini divertenti e una nuova cover per l'iphone. È da un paio d'anni che questo negozio è aperto a Eindhoven e ogni volta che vado in centro passo a vedere i nuovi prodotti.
Mi piace il concept alla base di questi due negozi, la gamma di prodotti davvero variegata e la qualità.
Sicuramente, questi danesi sanno benissimo come rendermi felice!
